Illinois will play DePaul in men’s basketball for initial time given 1957

For a initial time in 60 years, Illinois’ and DePaul’s men’s basketball teams will play any other.
The Illini will horde a Blue Demons in a 2017 Gavitt Tipoff Games, according to a source. Northwestern will horde Creighton in a Gavitt showcase, that has pitted Big East and Big Ten teams opposite any other given 2015.
Despite a dual basketball programs competing in a same state, a teams haven’t faced off given Dec. 7, 1957. The Illini won that assembly 75-70.
